If you can get your extended family to travel with you or put together a special group experience you could potentially save hundreds of dollars.
There are several major hotel chains that allow kids to stay free. Choosing one of these could cut your rate significantly – especially if breakfast is included in the stay. When it comes to the rest of the meals, look for restaurants that offer free meals for a kid with adult purchase. The savings will quickly add up.
Last minute travel can be one of the greatest savings opportunities that you may experience. Most airlines and hotels offer significant discounts when they are trying to fill empty seats or rooms. Waiting to book can until the last minute can really make the difference.
Sign up for rewards at every place you can. All the airlines and major hotel chains offer special discounts, packages, and privileges to their rewards or loyalty members. Even credit cards are getting in on the deal by offering points for everything you purchase. As long as you are paying your bill in full each month, this rewards and benefits can mean substantial savings.
Be sure to take advantage off all the specials that surround you. Many local clubs or bars offer great appetizers during happy hour. The hotel may even offer a special cocktail time for their guests. The more free meals you can find the more money you can save.
Coupons are not just for the grocery store. The hotel may include a packet in the drawer of the desk or you could find some coupons online. These could mean discounts on area attractions, local or regional restaurants, or even hotel services.
Traveling doesn’t have to cost a fortune. By finding a few ways to cut a few dollars you can save plenty on any trip that you may take. It doesn’t take a lot of planning or even a great deal of sacrifice to take trip on a budget.
